Tailor made holiday to Switzerland - help needed

Guys

I'm planning for a 7-9 nights holiday next month to Switzerland. Wish to stay at Zurich, Interlacken, Lucerne, Berne etc for a day or two. Unfortunately I couldn't get much information from travel agents regarding the Tailor made holiday. Please drop a line or two if you have any info.

Help much appreciated
M

Have you tried DER Travel? http://www.dertravel.co.uk/

Several years ago I did pretty much the same trip with them. It included a rail pass for free travel on all days you were transferring between hotels and 1/2 price on all other days, including some discounts on bus and lake journeys. Rail travel is very efficient in Switzerland and you can send your luggage ahead without you. I assume the above all still applies as it was many years ago.

I arrived at Zurich airport early on the Saturday, collected my luggage and put it on the train to Lucerne. This allowed me to look around Zurich unencumbered and in the afternoon I caught the train to Lucerne, picked up my luggage at the station and found my hotel. On the Wednesday I transferred by train to Interlaken, again sending my luggage ahead. This left me free to break my train journey at a folk museum and take a lake trip on the way to Interlaken. On the final day I checked my luggage through to Zurich airport while I took the train to Berne and looked round there, before continuing to Zurich for an evening flight.

Hope that helps and shows that maybe you don't need to spend a night in every place you want to visit.

We did this a couple of years ago, flew into Zurich hired a car at the airport and just set off. We stayed a night in various places including Interlaken and Lucerne, we just stopped wherever we saw a hotel we fancied and we didn't have any problems geting in anywhere in July. We stayed the last night in an airport hotel as the flight left early. Have fun....

Hi - I am planning a trip around july. Looked at https://www.swisssafari.com. It has a section called honeymoon special, which you can probably tailor it as it works out much cheaper.
Good luck and please let us know how things go.
