HELP! Happy Hopper, birthday gift!

Its my son's birthday tomorrow and I've got him a purple dragon Happy Hopperz from Amazon. But I don't know if I've inflated it right!

It is just the hopper, a pump and a pointy thing. Instructions say attach pump to pointy thing, which now looks like a needle, and insert to inflate, then remove both. I've done that but there's no bung or anything- won't it deflate?

I don't want to come downstairs tomorrow with him to open gifts, and it just be deflated!

Anyone had these?

I've never had one of these but sounds like the same type of pump and valve that a football uses and they don't have a bung either.

I have one of these and you've done it right!

DS has had his nearly a year and it hasn't gone down at all. He loves it.
