samsung galaxy tab 2 - logging into google play

hi all

Finally had our samsung galaxy tab back after been fixed by the engineering team. hurray

one problem though

My daughter cannot log onto google play or get a new account for google. She uses this for downloading and apps.

system stating:

Wi-fi not working.
It is actually working as we are all on the internet / phones in the house as we speak

HELP PLEASE URGENTLY... BEFORE i SCREAM.....

This is a long shot but are the date and time correct?

I recently couldn't get a Galaxy Tab onto the Google store and it turned out it was because the date/time hadn't been set, for some bizarre reason the error it gave me was something to do with an internet connection not being available despite the fact the wifi was working fine for other applications.

I went through various attempted fixes involving wiping caches and similar but none of them worked then by chance came across the date/time reference and sure enough, once I set that everything worked fine with the store.

Have you put the wireless code into the tablet from the back of the Router ?

Brilliant - I'm glad I was able to save someone else the grief of trying all the different solutions for nothing particularly as the error message is completely wrong.
