Not sure if it works for cars but i know a builder who buys a house that needs work doing and does it up while living there and as its his only residence he doesnt have to pay capital gains tax on it when he sells it
And quite rightly no capital gains tax to pay. However as he is buying with the intention to sell on hopefully at a profit then he is trading and should be paying income tax on the gain.Today is the first day of the rest of your life0
