Oceon Finance PPI claim

Can anyone help? a few years ago we had a loan through Oceon Finance. Having tried to chase PPI misold, i have received a letter saying that the company has gone bust and is no longer trading. I contacted the person who sent letter (looks like the owner of original companys accountant) and they told me i would have to contact the ombudsman and they had had hundreds of queries like mine. What are the chances of claiming now do you think? i would have thought the fault lies with the owner of the company but the lady reckon no?? where do i go from here? anyone experienced the same??

If it was Alabaster (trading as Ocean Finance) who brokered the deal then forget it, it was a Jersey based company and the FSCS has no jurisdiction over Jersey.

When was the loan because the JFSC have no interest in anything before 2005. The JFSC are actually a lot stricter with this time-bar then the FCA(FSA)/FOS.
