Hi guys, 2 in 1 day, busy guy at the moment.
Gonna re-paper the bedroom, aint done none for Yonks, but capable.
It,s patterned at top of Dado, and plain at bottom.
Top paper leaves the backing on as a liner, was done when moved in, on bare plaster walls.
The bottom paper is plain, which I painted over with Matt emulsion, sound;
Thinking of leaving bottom on as a liner, nothing under it, again, plaster.
anyone see any reason why not, or , if I do, would new paper adhere ok without prepping?
Again, advice very grateful.
Enough for 1 day.:beer:

I left the backing paper when I repapered one wall last year. I went over it with a sanding block to smooth any remaining bits out and sized it (might have done it twice just because I could) no problems so far.0

thanks loracan.I left the backing paper when I repapered one wall last year. I went over it with a sanding block to smooth any remaining bits out and sized it (might have done it twice just because I could) no problems so far.
it,s the bottom that,s the concern, matt emulsion on top of paper. which I want to leave on and paper over;using it as a lining paper.
don,t see why I need to remove it, it,s sound, just rub it down as you say,and top backing paper as well.
there,s not a lot of it. 3 rolls of each.at most.:beer:0
