re- new oven

Hi Guys, I am thinking of changing my Neff single built in oven with grill, just a plain, no frills one.
However, mine is rated at 2.8Kw, but new ones are way lower, even as far as 0.8Kw, with a plug fitted,(indesit) £200
Even Hotpoint @ £500 is only 1 kw approx, are all new ovens rated as low as this, now, and what effect on cooking times does it have?
Surely at these low ratings, cooking times will be ages.?
Mine,s wired in, to fused spur..
Any advice grateful.:beer:
edit. sorted guys, it,s consumption rate, not element size quoted;;;
