1. Eligibility
Entry to the Virgin Money My Big News Competition (“Competition”) is open to all UK residents aged 18 or over at the date of entry. All colleagues working for Virgin Money, their immediate family and any staff working for any 3rd party companies in association with Virgin Money will not eligible to enter the competition.
2. Entry Period
The entry period for the Competition will open at 10am on 23rd May 2013 and will close at 5pm on 21st June 2013.
The Promoter reserves the right to modify, terminate, suspend or extend the Competition at any time without prior notice.
3. To Enter
a) Entry to the competition is open via Twitter, email and online entry form. The following three routes of entry are available: i. Entrants can enter by tweeting about the big life event they have planned in the next 26 months. Entries must include the #MyBigNews and the @virginmoney hashtags.
ii. Entrants can also enter by emailing [EMAIL="MyBigNews@virginmoney.com"]MyBigNews@virginmoney.com[/EMAIL]. Entries must include their name, email address, telephone number and what they are celebrating in the next 26 months. iii. Entrants can also enter by going online at virginmoney.com/mybignews. Entries must include their name, email address, telephone number and what they are celebrating in the next 26 months.
b) All qualifying entries received during the entry period will be entered into a prize draw, and the winning entry will be drawn independently and at random from all valid entries received, at the absolute discretion of the Promoter.
c) The prize draw will take place on 21 June 2013.
d) The winners will be notified via Twitter and/or email by 5pm on 24th June 2013. Once notification has been sent to the winners, they will have 24 hours to respond to the Promoter, confirming acceptance of the prize, their name, address, and date of birth and confirmation of a personal bank account the money can be paid into.
e) If any winner fails to respond within 24 hours, an alternate winner will be drawn independently and at random from all valid entries received, at the absolute discretion of the Promoter.

4. The Prizes
a) One winner will receive a cash prize of £10,000.00 (ten thousands pounds). This will be presented in the form of a cheque made out to the name of the winner.
b) The prize will be presented to the winner at a Virgin Money Store local to the winner. If a store is not within reasonable distance for the prize winner to attend a cheque will be sent recorded post to the winner. Travel to and from the Virgin Money Store will not be paid for.
c) The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with alternatives should circumstances make this necessary.

5. Acceptance by Entrants
a) By entering the Competition, entrants accept these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them and any subsequent decisions by the Promoter under these Terms and Conditions.
b) The winners agree to allow the Promoter to confirm their name, age and county of residence to other entrants.
c) The winner agrees to allow the Promoter to confirm that they have a UK Bank Account for the cash prize to be paid into.
d) The winners’ names will be available upon request by sending a stamped addressed envelope to: Virgin Money My Big News Competition, Jubilee House, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE3 4PL.

6. Winners
Winners may be asked, but are under no obligation, to participate in non-paid publicity accompanying or resulting from this Competition.
7. Force Majeure
Events may occur which render the prize draw itself or the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and, accordingly, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion vary or amend the Competition and entrants agree that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
8. Jurisdiction
Entrants agree that the Competition is governed, interpreted and enforced by the laws of England and Wales and by entering, all entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
9. Personal Information
Personal information provided by entrants will be used to administer the Competition.
