I think my cheque bounced.

Hey,

I got given a 200 GBP cheque and I think it bounced.

24 May 13UNPAID CHEQUEPAY
200.00
24 May 13UNPAID REPRESENTEDDEP 200.00




The cheque was for 200, it's from a family member so I can easily get another one but will this cheque try to credit their account again because my balance is still pending 200.

Thanks, bank is LloydsTSB will I get charged for it.

    Yes it has - it looks like it was returned by their bank Refer to Drawer Please Represent so your bank has represented it. This means they have sent it through for payment again you don't need to get another cheque from your relative yet, just wait to see if it is paid OK this time.

    If it bounces back again. get them to send a bank transfer for the £200....

    Eventually the bank will return the cheque to you if it is bounced more than twice.
    Make sure the cheque properly clears (not show as available for you to withdraw - use 2-4-6) before you spend the money.

    If it is a cheque given to you - you will not be charged if it is returned unpaid.
