TV presenter, car fanatic and so-called “Captain Slow”, James May, has published his best articles in one new paperback, and we have ten copies to give away!
Our lucky winners will each receive a copy of Mr May’s latest book, “Notes from the Hard Shoulder”, which humorously covers such wide-ranging topics as driving overseas and haunted car parks.
“I’m glad you’re thinking of buying this book. But not half as glad as I’d be if you’d put it back on the shelf and buy one of mine instead”, said Jeremy Clarkson.
Best known as one third of the Top Gear trio, James May has lived, breathed and dreamt about cars his entire life. He has written about them over several years in a large number of periodicals. “Notes from the Hard Shoulder” is a stylish collection of James May’s most controversial and humorous writing.
“Notes from the Hard Shoulder” is on sale now from Virgin Books, priced, £7.99, but NEW CAR NET has ten copies to give away to lucky winners.

2. The prize(s) are as set out on the NEW CAR NET website. No competitor can elect an alternative to it/them.
3. Competitors must be aged 18 or over and no competitor can win more than one Award.
4. All entries must include the competitor's name and email address.
5. Publicity may be given to each winner and the Awards will be presented in such a way and at such places as may be determined by the Judges of NEW CAR NET who reserve the right to feature/use names and photographs.
6. No responsibility can be accepted for entries damaged, lost or mislaid before or after delivery. Failure of an entry to be delivered by the date or in the manner specified will make the entry invalid. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery.
7. No correspondence will be entered into.
8. Employees and agents of Netro42 Ltd and any other company associated with Netro42 Ltd and those of any company associated with the Award are not eligible to take part, nor are members of their households.
9. Winners will be notified by email.
10. The determination and decision of the Judges shall be final. The Judges reserve the right in their absolute discretion to disqualify any entry or competitor or nominee, and add to, or waive any rules.
11. The Judges in the event of circumstances arising which, in their opinion, make this desirable, may cancel the competition at any stage.
12. A list of winners will be available after the closing date upon request to info@newcarnet.co.uk.
