mini or micro usb lead?

I'd like a female to male usb lead to connect a Samsung tablet to this Samsung dock.
My Samsung S3 fits the above dock.
The problem is I don't know whether it's a mini or micro female to mini or micro male usb lead I require.
Does anyone know which one I require?
Thanks.

It will be micro usb on the S3 and it's an assumption on my part that the tablet will be micro usb (standard) so you essentially want a micro usb extension cable.0

Thanks, much appreciated.
How would I describe one of these leads?
At one end this
and at the other end the female equivalent.0 -
Def micro usb. If you want micro usb at both ends I would call it a micro usb extension.
As does Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/kenable-Hi-Speed-Shielded-Female-Extension/dp/B00BR33V0U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1369411498&sr=8-1&keywords=micro+usb+extension
Not endorsing that product btw, just an example.
But be careful, it looks like most of the female ends are quite big and may not fit the dock as the S3 is quite a slim and curved handset (the connector itself will fit but the plastic around it may be too square/chunky).
Maybe take the whole lot to Maplin then you can try diff cables out.0 -
Out of curiosity, why do you want to run it through the dock? Couldn't you just use a standard USB to micro USB like on your pic? Or does the dock have a function you want to use (never use em myself)?0

A rather convoluted "Heath-Robinson" of an explanation.
I have the above Universal Dock which isn't suiable for my Galaxy Note 10.1. So what I thought I'd try is use THIS to connect the Tab 10.1 to the Universal Dock, BUT the female end of the above adapter doesn't for some reason fit the micro usb on the Universal Dock. So I thought I'd use a small cable link consisting of USBs that would both fit the above adapter and the Universal Dock! It's the female end that's being a sod to find!
Hope that made sense.0 -

Where heres a micro usb extension

Although I'm not convinced it will fit, Samsung uses a special 11 pin micro usb port which it gives support for mhl, the male 11 pin micro usb does not fit into a normal female micro usb port.
I think the dock has the 11 pin micro usb.0 -
Ah yes. The handset will accept a standard micro USB but the male end of the micro USB connection on the dock will possibly have a pesky extra pin.0
-
I'm going to say no because it looks like the mhl 2.0 plug.
The other side of the plug should have a raised section in the centre of the plug which is not on regular micro usb plug.
The thing is that dock only supports mhl 2.0 devices which from Samsung is only the s3, s4 and note 2.
So even if you could find some sort of adapter I don't think the video / audio out + usb ports on the dock will work anyway0
