what find of flat is this? a coverted house or purpose built?0

Its a purpose built 1950's flat. Timber florid with plaster board much like a house.0

i'd get them round and mention it casually, as in, do you hear as much of the guy upstairs as we do. in the long term its the kind of thing that will make you not want to live there anymore so do it now and save yourself the pain.
I moved out of my last one and I had truly truly truly come to hate the people next door when we left. don't let it get that bad!0
