I can't imagine pepipoo saying pay up if colour wrong, they will surely have said for you to give them all details to help you fight this.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

I think you're missing the point that 60% of those who appeal against Council-issued tickets have those appeals upheld. There are many and varied, potentially fatal errors on such notices and some Councils routinely repeat them regardless that other tickets have been overturned for such errors in the past. Give Pepipoo a try - as suggested - with a scanned in and suitably "washed" copy of your ticket (front and back).
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

Thanks Stroma. I've been on pepipoo and this question has come up before. The advice to people in similar situations is, to paraphrase, "colour is irrelevant, cough up", although some councils will cancel the notice if the colour is very obviously different. In my case it's not - dark green on a very bright day that looks black in the pictures. But I may follow through and post the PCN just in case there's something else. Thanks again.

Appeal it because most can win (just not on the grounds of wrong colour). Post a pic of both sides of the PCN on pepipoo in a new topic and give it a go.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
