Members have been very generous on the thread below where I asked for the best paint to use to paint a roller door.
I've gone for bedec msp. Now I need to prep the surface.
So the question how to get rid of the paint on the door currently. Some of flaking off - some of it not.
The door is steel.
Is paint stripper the best and most efficient way? If so what type such that it leaves a good surface to paint and no residue etc.
Thanks in advance as always

if the paint is sound then just give it a really good sand down and then give it a wash with sugar soap , however if you want to strip the door right back to bare metal then you could use paint stripper or try this , if you can get the peeling bits back to a place where it is solid then just smooth it out with sandpaper and then paint , unless you want to spend hours stripping the door ,0
