Replacing a kitchen bench top - Help!

If possible can someone help.
We need a new kitchen bench top. Unfortunatley we managed to melt/burn the last one with a very hot pan, as it is laminate. OOps.
Our big issue. We currently have a white kitchen with silver handles, and want a silver looking bench top. We have both done research into the bench tops. We don't want wood, or granit or stainless steel (forgive me if some of the details are wrong). We really want something which comes in Silver (colour), this we are finding as hard to get as the reality that there is not kitchen bench top which is heat, scratch and stain proof. Can someone enlighten me if there is such a product.
Any ideas gratefully received.
