unemployment claim on mis sold PPI??

Hi Folks.
I've just heard from Natwest that a loan I had included PPI, of which I had no idea. They are now offering to see if I am eligible to claim back these costs.
The thing is I was made redundant from a full time position and remained unemployed for 18 months of the five year loan, during which time I begged and borrowed to meet the repayments. I am now thankfully in full time employment again and the loan has been paid in full and on time.
So, instead of claiming back the mis-sold premium can I claim back the payments I made during unemployment assuming these will have been covered by the PPI had I known about it?

Any advice would be very much appreciated!

Thanks,

Jon.

It would be best to go for the mis sell, let them know that you were made redundant and had you known you had the PPI then you would have claimed on it.
With a win for mis sell you get the whole PPI amount back and the interest plus 8% compensation, this will come to more than the 12 months of unemployment that you would have received had you made a claim on the PPI.

    I concur. Make a complaint.
