Hi
Having looked around the web a bit, I think I'm onto a loser with this enquiry, but hey, you lot are hopefully my saviours.
My Zambian-resident brother-in-law is visiting in July. A friend has offered him the use of his bike for up to 5 days, but we need to organise motorcycle insurance.
He's 50, got a Zambian license and plenty of riding experience. The bike's being loaned, not rented.
Any ideas as to who might offer a quote?
Cheers

Exclamation and question marks - ONE exclamation mark or question mark is sufficient to exclaim or ask about something. More than one just makes you look/sound like a prat.
Should OF, would OF. Dear oh dear. You really should have, or should've listened at school when that nice English teacher was explaining how words get abbreviated.

You could phone Herts Insurance to see if they can do this or know of a company who can. From what I can see the rider under a short term policy has to have lived in the UK for 12 month.
What about your friend phoning his Insurers to see if they can do anything.
I suspect that companies that hire motorcycles to foreign visitors will have Insurance schemes in place. Perhaps see which Insurers they use and make enquiries. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0
