Close Barclaycard Account for how long before I can apply for a new one?

Hi All
I looked around the forums but cannot see one on this - I have many (Virgin, MBNA, Barclaycard, Halifax, Natwest, Santander) 0% interest rate cards - some not in use, some in use - with £40k plus debt. I have just a month ago paid off my Barclaycard debt - I can close it now, and then I want to apply for a NEW Barclaycard as a fresh new customer and benefit from their 26 month 0% interest period - how long do I have to wait between closing and applying for a new one pls? Do they track this?
Cheers

Good luck with that. With £40k+ debt and with five or so other 0% cards, I imagine you'd find it hard to open up a new account.
0% offers shall one day, run out and you'll have to either pay sky high interest or pay the debt off in full.
It's around 6 - 8 months I believe.0 -
Yeah it's not going to be any short period of time. As MrSilk said, you're getting to pretty high levels of debt there on credit cards and many lenders may be sketchy handing you new 0% credit. Obviously it'll party be down to your income, but don't expect any new credit to give you a particularly high credit limit. Anyway, that's besides the point!
In terms of the time to wait, I believe it's anywhere from 6 months to a year, but certainly no less than 6 months.0
