The forums at Sky are full of this problem, with no full solution. Affects iOS and Android, which leads me to think it's the boxes. I've got 3 Android devices, each of which can connect 'sometimes'. Usually 1 out of the 3 can.
If you want to play around with it here are 2 things to try:
Use an ethernet cable to the Sky box instead of WiFi, just to get a better connection.
Before running the app, on your Sky box, go into the on demand section and have a browse, basically, wake up the networking in the Sky box, THEN try to connect - people were saying this worked, lots of people said it didn't!
Final thing of course, is to complain to Sky about it!0 -
The on demand catch up doesn't all ways work either. All our other devices have no problem but sky say its an issue with Internet so phone bt. Bt say Internet fine so it must be sky equipments fault lol. Sky go works fine on my iPad though so I'm confusedHave a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0

So if you're using wireless, I'll bet the On demand part stutters because your WiFi strength isn't good enough. Does it stutter when someone uses the microwave by any chance?! So before you can blame BT, you would need to test with a really long LAN cable to make sure it's NOT WiFi. What's the signal strength like on your iPad or whatever IN THE SAME ROOM as the Sky box? If it's weak, again, that points to WiFi being your bottleneck. What speed is your internet meant to be?
Sky Go relies on your iPad's WiFi connection AND your internet connection so nothing to do with the Sky box. This would also suggest that it's not BT's fault as you're able to stream video this way.0
