Hi
I made a couple of contents claims this year for laptops and phone. The policy was in my name only on a joint owned house with joint mortgage.

As such the claims were in my name, can we take insurance out in my wives name next year since she hasn't made any claims ?

Inerested in any thoughts.

Need to read the exact question asked, for example Direct Line ask:

Tell us how many claims were made and/or losses suffered in the last 3 years by you and anyone living with you?

Therefore just changing policyholder doesnt help

Also bear in mind even if it doesnt specifically ask in the disclosure question about other people living with you, it will usually bold the 'you' indicating that it would be the policies definition of 'you' which will include other people.

You need o declare the claims.

Hiya, i work in insurance and you must declare the claims as if you don't they will show on the CUE match report and youn run the risk of your insurance been void.
