in Cutting tax
Hi,
I have recently signed a fixed term contract of employment but I plan to maintain my own trade related skills (my employer wont pay so they have to be at my own expense).
How can i go about making those cpd events tax deductible. So far i am not self employed and i do not fill out any self assessments (yet).
Any guidance would be much appreciated.

As an employee I think you can only claim for external training courses if they are an integral part of your duties of employment
