WorldWide Capital Ltd Tablet Scam

I don't know if this has been mentioned before but this has just happened to me & I want to prevent it happening to others.

I responded to an email offering a 3 week free trial of "Natural Cleanse" Tablets arrived without any information leafelet or covering letter with terms of the offer.

Reading the label I discovered they were actually Senna tablets so didn't use them. But hey It was fine because this was a free trial, right? .. WRONG!

2 weeks later I got an email saying I had reached the end of the "3 week" trial period & they had grabbed £79.98 from my bank account. after I emailed a complaint a second email gave me a telephone number (80001195200) to contact which I believe is part of the scam. Keep em talking run up a large phone bill add more profit to the company's coffers.

Since then every email has been ignored and after searching the internet & Twitter I find out that there are many complaints against this company from others who have fallen for the same scam.

I know I will never see my money again & believe me I have learned a valuable lesson but I want to warn others to beware of this scam.

Seen loads of posts on here about similar things. If you have to give your bank details when ordering it's either not a free trial or there is something in the terms and conditions to say that you need to cancel it within a certain time frame or you will be charged. In a little bit of fairness to the company concerned though they seem to have an 0800 telephone number which is free to call from Landlines so whatever else they may be doing I don't think they're trying to profit from phone calls. Probably worth a ring to query why they sent the wrong tablets and to try and get a refund out of them. Good luck.

Yes had to give details but it was supposed to be a 3 week free trial but they took the money a week early. Did phone them but they said they could not find account & kept repeating the same questions over & over so got the impression I was getting the runaround & hung up after 10 minutes of being put on hold!

Also sent numerous emails none of which have been replied to & after doing a google search found out there are many other complaints about this company.

Just be aware .. There are sharks out there after you hard earned money!

No RIGHT..... You got a FREE TRIAL. You got to try the product. Failure to contact them means you are happy and will be charged for the product.

I hope you have now spoken to your card provider. As there is a good chance you will see further payments.

Hi. How do you stop them taking money from your account. It appears they use different accounts and use different names and so if you stop one account they bill you for another item using another account. Barclays says what they are doing is actually legal because you have given them your bank details and so somewhere in the small print it says they can send you items which you have to pay for.
If you close your account they can actually find you and sue you. I hate to think what the accrued bill might be. (and if its legal?????)
Any answers gratefully received. We have lost so far £four lots of about £82.00 = £350.00
Two lots taken on the 22nd and 27th July and two lots on the 14th Aug.
]The bank says it can stop payments from these four accounts but cant stop payments if they come from different account.

  • Can the items be returned registered saying you dont want anymore business with them. then close your account at the bank. If they then sue you you will have a copy of your letter to them and proof of returning the products.
    KR
any thoughts. (I can see this problem taking loads of time and keeping me awake at night)

Hi. Do you have the phone number handy?
My wife ordered items without me knowing. She didn't understand how these companies work. All emails have been deleted because I didn't know they related to her free trial.

Instruct your bank never to make any more payments to them. And also contact them to tell them that you are cancelling the order.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.
