Problem with refunds

Hello, hope someone can help. I registered with the nuisance call registry and paid the fee. 2 months later they then took another fee from my card, I am now having problems getting this refund. They state they issued a refund at the start of may but after confirming with my card company no refund has been issued nor is it pending. I am getting no where with this company. My emails are ignored and when I call and query all I get from them is they issued the refund start of may and that's all they say. I'm going round in circles and getting very annoyed about this, I just want my money back. Any advice?
Thanks

What "nuisance call registry"? There is a proper free service called the Telephone Preference Service whereby you can register a number (landline or mobile) and companies are supposed to remove you from their databases. I'm not sure what the penalties are for those who fail to do so, but I do know, from experience, that telling a nuisance caller that you're registered with the TPS makes them give up without a fight!
You certainly shouldn't be paying a "registry" to stop nuisance callers; it doesn't sound legit to me. If you paid by credit card you could try giving them a call to see if they can intervene or refund you directly (it might depend on the value).0 -
I presume OP means this: http://www.nuisancecallregistry.co.uk
It seems that they charge £42.62 to check whether you on the TPS, and then tell you how to register yourself if you are not.
Quite a nice little earner, I must say.0 -
Oh my God - you can check yourself to see if you are on the registry for free - this lot sound like a right lot of chancers. You should try your credit card company but I think as the value is under £100 they will not do much - a letter from a solicitor or just keep on at them, every day until you get action. Make sure your credit card company knows not to pay anything else to them -0
