Help. We currently have a power cut and my alarm wont stop

hi guys. in desperate need of help here. My whole street has had a power cut and our alarm is going off and wont stop. the electricity is still off and has been since 5am!! i have rang electricity north west and they wont come out as they need more than me to complain before they do anything. does anyone please have any ideas as to how the hell i can stop this??
Any help would be great.

You need to take out the back up battery. But the alarm should only sound for a pre-allotted time (I think it's 15 mins to not open you up to noise pollution laws?) so you need to get the company who fitted it back to sort that out.

tried the code and it wont work and its a rented property and there is no number on the box. think i kinda annoyed my landlord by ringing him at 6am to ask him to come down and sort it and he said he cant do anything. the other people on the street keep complainin that they have been kept awake with it but i dont know what else to try. were would the back up battery be? we have disconected everything we can find and its still going off. been going off solid since 5. landlord has been saying for a year he would get it fixed cos its faulty, could that be the reason it wont go off?
