post office credit card no fee for purchases abroad

the post office credit card has free purchases abroad

what do you guys make of this ? is it better than the nationwide one

The only (very small?) difference would be the exchange rate employed at the time of conversion to Sterling (Post Office is Mastercard, whereas Nationwide is Visa).

Martin has commented about this in one of his articles. I think that the PO one may have a very slightly lower interest rate for cash advances. But there isn't much in it, and cash advances aren't the best plan anyway, if you can avoid them...

Just applied for one of these PO cards for myself after reading the article. One benefit of the PO card over Nationwide is that you can apply via a Quidco link online and, if all goes to plan, you get a £20.50 rebate.
