Well it`s defintely something you could see Mr Pilkington doing!
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

    I am inclined to agree.

But we have a mix of absolutely unequivocal 'it is dangerous' opinions and ill informed folk science, so I think it is right to put in a somewhat more complete answer so that people know that it is not per se dangerous - according to how the job has been done
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'

Not really enough details here as we need to know the actual way it's wired up.

However assuming the fan is only on when the shower is on (maybe with a little over run ) then that is totally inadequate to clear the room of steam. The fan needs to run for at least an hour to be anyway effective.

You may joke, when in india a few years ago, I was getting very slight electric shock tingles whilst taking a shower, and had to stand in a bucket to stop it, though nothing would suprise me there.
We went to a restaurant one time and when it got dark a bloke came out with two lengths of cable on bamboo canes and hooked them over the overhead powerlines and hey presto all the lights came on

The electrician did this without getting in the loft to see the wiring, it was a guess on their part based solely on the fact the fan only comes on when the shower does, and unsurprisingly they guessed it is the wiring layout that involves the most work for them (£££).

On an electrical safety front, no one can tell if its safe without getting a full picture iof whats up there.

But on a comfort level, I would want the fan on with the lights, with an overrun (sometimes I want some fresh air in the bathroom when I am NOT in the shower!)
