Swalec price reduction deception
Swalec Electricity says they reduced eclectricity prices from April 1st. BUT they issue bills quarterly to us - from February to May - and they charged us the old (higher) rate for the full period. Seems that they are doing this to everyone - and they only re-issue the bill at the correct apportioned rate if you call them to complain. They say their poor computer cannot cope with the two prices - but that is not correct, since they billed at two prices in 2006 when prices went up - what a surprise! If you are a Swalec customer, I suggest you call them to get a refund or new bill and then switch supplier, which is what I am going to do.

Swalec is part of the Scottish and Southern Electricty Group and there is much corrresp re your subject. See this recent thread on another SSE member and posts on Southern Electric and they may help you.
