Xbox live membership - card missing from sealed box

My hubby was bought a 12 month Xbox live membership for Xmas. His current membership expires shortly so he has just opened the new one. It was sealed and when he has opened it there was no card inside.
We think we know who it was bought by and from where (online bug retailer) but not sure if there is anything we can do.
Can anyone help?

You can all but ask, you cannot prove it was empty and so long since it was purchased you really are on the will of the supplier.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0
