Don't ever speak to them, they will say things they would never put in writing And you have no proof.

They rely on lying to people over the phone.

  • All calls must be held on file for 6 years and will cost £10 per call for the transcript to be sent to you.

Regarding the credit agreement, if done online, terms and conditions would have been agreed to as part of the credit agreement when the accounts were applied for.

The payment agreement would have been available through Very and Isme, provided you kept in touch. If no contact or payment were made, the accounts would be sold to a debt collection company as you have discovered. Unfortunately, as you agree you still owed money on he accounts, you needed to continue contact to try and resolve.

Now the accounts have been sold on, you need to contact the collection companies directly. Isme/Very advisers no longer have access to your accounts to be able to arrange a reduced payment plan.

    Good luck

Call logs must, but actual copys of calls do not.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • I disagree.

I worked for Shop Direct until January 3rd this year. We changed our call recording system a few years ago, due to legally having to keep recordings of all calls made by customers. In the event the call is not available, the customer can take further action.

As a heads up, I lost my job due to the contact centres being outsourced overseas. They went from 7 call centres to 3 in recent years. The centres are now in Cardiff and South Africa for calls and India for emails. Unfortunately, a lot of our customers were starting to find there was a difficulty in having their query understood, let alone correctly looked into and resolved. My advice is if you have any accounts with these companies, close them as quickly as you can. They include Very, isme, Woolworths, K and Co and Littlewoods.

    Consumer Credit (Agreements) Regulations 2010

The 2010 regulations apply to unsecured credit including loans, hire-purchase, credit cards and overdrafts. They may also apply to some secured credit.
The regulations require certain information to be set out in the credit agreement. The information must be clear and concise and easily legible, and certain information must be included in the document the borrower signs. There are special rules for overdrafts and pawnbroking.
In addition, provisions in the Consumer Credit Act govern the supply of copy agreements and statements on request.
If the requirements are not followed, the agreement will be unenforceable without a court order.
I assume this also applies to catalogue accounts, if taken out online, they are supposed to take a screen capture of your signature, I would still CCA them as they are not very clued up on the regulations regarding this, Lowells are notorious for throwing in the towel if no paperwork is available weather or not correct paperwork is required to prove enforceability or not.

Hi, sorry I may be reading your first post incorrectly, but you say littlwoods agreed a plan, was that paid off? And that you thought you were paying a merged account for very and isme. So the £50 you were paying went to? Very? So why would they be chasing payment? Sorry I'm probably just confused!!
