I have been reading all the threads that have appeared this week about air con recharging. It has motivated me to get my Saab done as-well.
£45 at ATS and £49.95 at kwik fitt, but I thought I would do it my self. Got a can of EZ Chill Auto Air Conditioning Recharge-

and the EZ Chill Auto Airconditioning Reusable Trigger Dispenser & Gauge-

Halfords threw in some Comma Aircon Cleaner -

The damage was £54.99 and I get £10 refunded when I take the empty can back.
I popped the bonnet, found the low pressure port and followed the instructions, there are some good vids on you tube as well. Whilst recharging I popped the Comma Aircon Cleaner in the cabin.
Ten mins later I have a car like a fridge that smells very fresh and enough gas in the can to do it all again. I would recommend this to any one- very simple and straight forward and no one has tried to sell me shocks or tyres whilst getting it done.

glad it's worked but doesn't sound cheap enough to make it worth while particularly as you miss out on the vacuum leak check and removal of moisture plus adding the correct amount of oil that a proper air con place would do.
Our local one charges £40 or £450 -
If it leaks again in a short time it will be wasted money.
If it works then you all set for the summer.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

I looked at this but it isn't R134a refrigerant so I didn't want to mix an gasses up as it sounds a bit mickey mouse.0
