Are your tesco points on your credit card correct, mine was not.
The reason was I did not get 5 points for every £4 spent because when you get to the pump to follow instructions the first thing it tells you to do is Scan your ClubCard then Scan your TescoBank Credit Card.
This I did then it says fill up max £99 so I put in £42 then when I had finished my receipt said 21 points this visit should have been 52
What Tesco dont tell you is that your TescoBank Credit Card is also a Tesco CLUB-CARD SO DO NOT USE your old club card bin it when the pump says scan your clubcard USE your Tesco-bank Card then you get the full points or go to the till and pay with your Tesco-Bank Credit-Card. I phoned tesco bank credit card contact us on line phone number and I was given back the missing points :j old receipts are only valid for 2 weeks to claim points. Hope this is of Help to some of you.

Eh its 1 point for every £4 spent outwith Tesco. Fuel at tesco is 1 point for every £1 and 1 point for every £4 also.
In store its 1 point for every £1 spent and also 1 point for every £4 spent on top of that.

I have absolutely no idea what you're doing with your maths, but in response to your question: Yes, the Tesco points on my CC are correct.

I have been told by staff many times, to use my Tesco Credit Card, rather than my Club Card for points in the fuel station, as you get more points.

You don't get the extra Tesco Credit Card 'spend' points at the point of sale. (10 in your case)

They appear a few days later.

Pay with your Clubcard Credit Card and will get 1 point per £1 on your receipt.

In fact, don't even pay with it. Just scan it for points and you STILL get 1 point per £1.

I scan my ClubCard Credit Card and pay with an AllStar Fuel Card.

I know exactly what info47 is talking about and yep I only know about it myself because the Tesco garage staff told me when they noticed I was giving them my Clubcard to scan and then my Tesco credit card to pay.

    Thanks for that shireknight
I thought what I had written was as clear as mud lol
I was caught out till today when I checked my receipts only 21 points instead of 50+
Just trying to help and warn people not to fall in to the same trap as me Thanks again.

Only if you use your Tesco Credit Card.
If you use your Tesco Club Card, its 1 point for every £2 spent.
So you need to make sure you use the correct card!

Of course, you always get 1 point for £4 on every transaction.

So I would expect 42 points for £42 of fuel. You'll get the other 10 a few days later.

I always use my Tesco Credit Card for the double points and then pay using my Aqua card for 3% cashback, but now I just use BP as the station near me is the same price (less for regulars) as Tesco and the car seems to prefer it!

In store I use my proper Clubcard, as I can wave it past the bar code scanner.

I remember someone saying something similar about not using your clubcard if you buy petrol as you get considerably more points if using the clubcard credit card so there may be some merit in this.

Tesco definitely do tell you that the credit card is also a clubcard so that's a bit of a bizarre statement.

They do but they don't tell you to stop using your clubcard and use your Tesco credit card as your clubcard instead

As already stated, the maximum number of points which your receipt would have shown is 42.

    Not 50+
