All the electrics appeared to work but a specialist should check as some of the wiring is not visible. It is hidden by walls.
My homebuyers said the electrics where up to date and didn't need checking.
I got an electrician out a month after I moved in to do some work and he said the same.
The other phrases were all standard.
So I concluded my surveyor must have been an electrician in a former life.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Wasn't the value of having the various surveys done covered by The One Show this week? Gloria Hunniford went round a house with a surveyor and he told her what they did/didn't do - she wasn't impressed as it was full of 'we don't look at that' 'we don't move furniture' etc etc. the story was about a couple who bought a house following a survey and it was later found to be structurally unsound but this wasn't picked up in the survey.0
