Am I too late?

The introductory offer on my card ends on 15 June. Is it too late to transfer my money to a new card? I'm thinking of going for the Ulster one.

So tempting to post a comment to this Al, but doing so would get me banned!Would you like it fluffed up

OP,
Since you're posting on the stoozing board I assume you have the funds readily available to clear the card? If so, I'd suggest you do so because you probably won't have time to complete a transfer to a new card.
BTW, their are two 'Ulster ones"...Ulster Bank card (RBS Group) and Ulster Rugby card (Bank of Ireland).0 -
Yeah, I have the funds but would have liked another 6 months 0%. I have the Ulster application form but it takes 2-3 weeks to process according to the form, the 0% offer ends in just under 3 weeks.
I could just put the form in the post and give it a shot but if it doesn't go ahead in time I'll end up one month paying interest. I'd rather just pay the thing off than have that happen...0 -
I just got my statement for this credit card dated 18th May, it asks for the minimum payment of £21, to reach them by 12th June and my next month's estimated interest is £0.
Now, this should mean I won't get my next statement until 18th June, to be paid by 12th July. Have I got it right that my next statement will require full payment to avoid interest charges and if the BT goes ahead before 12th July, I will pay no interest?
So if I get the Ulster form sent off it should be transferred in plenty of time...0 -
It runs out on 15th June. But, surely from 18th June I have the option of paying the full amount or paying interest? So, a BT would pay it off in full and stop the interest.0

Pound,
Which Ulster card is it?
Ulster Bank - never seen an initial limit higher than £3K (can sometimes be increased to £3.6K on appeal).
Ulster Rugby Club - demand to see evidence of existing debt, ie statement, before releasing funds. One poster on the stoozing site reports receiving a cheque (made out to their other card provider), which they then had to forward to their provider to repay the debt.
To be honest, the big danger here is that there will be a delay and you'll end up rushing to pay by BACS transfer and paying twice when the BT also goes through. Then you'll have some hassle trying to get your positive balance back, and they may even insist on sending it back to 'Ulster'.
There is something you could have done to avoid this hassle (other than applying earlier )...if you had an Egg Money card you could have BT'd from this to 'Ulster'. You would have then had a choice of how to repay your other card (BT to Egg or BACS transfer from the stooz pot).0 -
Ulster Bank - I only need to transfer just over £1,0000
