I have guesstimated the first week of July as a possible completion date, is this realistic?

I should think so, we are at the same stage, survey being done Friday and just made first payment to solicitor. Expected date end of June :)

We had our survey back about 6 months ago and it flagged some issues that took forever to sort! But we got there in the end and have the certificates for all the work.

Fingers crossed that your survey comes back OK and you will hit the end of June

To be on the safe side, do not hand in your notice on your rental property UNTIL you've exchanged contracts. Up until that happens, it could fall thru and leave you homeless.
