Could just be a normal usb, but differently shaped, as in mass produced case cut outs, but only different in different machines, otherwise they throw in a usb socket in a weird shaped opening.

Cant tell from the photo. if you have macro on the camera, use that for close ups. You will be able to recognise it cus you've seen it, but unless any of us have seen it before, it just looks like a blurry rectangle to me

Well, the thing it isn't is a USB port

I guess they sell some kind of adaptor wire/plug
