Revamping garden decking on the cheap
evoke
About a year and a half ago I had the decking in my garden cleaned and oiled. The oil was incredibly expensive and the total cost was over £400, just for the oil!
It's starting to look a little tired now and I don't really want to spend another £400 on decking oil.
Is there a MoneySavingExpert way of revamping the decking so it looks nice again without having to spend so much on decking oil?

Raw (not boiled) linseed oil. Apply liberally and keep rubbing into the wood until it absorbs no more. Allow any excess to stand for about ten minutes then wipe off. Leave to dry for 24 hrs. then re-apply as above. 2-3 coats should be enough.
Cheap enough here @£28.11 for 5 ltrs but you may find for less by shopping around.0 -
