  • My daughter received a letter from Arrow Global a week ago about a debit she had forgotten about, she phoned the number given, she admitted nothing but just told them that she would have to review her finances and left it at that. On Thursday she received a letter form Capquest saying they were acting as debit collectors for Arrow Global, that she owed £299.61 and they had put her account on hold for 30 days. The debit is 8 years old and there has been no contact from anyone until now about this debit. So as far as i am concerned it is now Staute Barred.
They are also threatening to send collection agents around after the 30 days.
What i would like advice on is who do i send a letter to stating that the debit is SB, capquest or Arrow Global or both. And would it be ok for my daughter to also attach a letter to it giving her permission for me act on her behalf, and any further correspondence to come to me.

    To Capquest at first.

Yes, a signed letter of authority would be ok, but make sure it does not acknowledge the debt. It can't un-statute-bar it once barred, but just in case your dates are wrong.
