Hi - like others I had an old, settled, debt (from Egg) sold to Global Arrow who then registered it as default with the CRAs. I called them last week and they sounded really good on the phone i.e. sorry about that and we will get it sorted etc..
Well, to my surprise, I checked with Equifax today and yep – they have. All dates correct etc.0 -
I have just checked Noddle and Arrow have added a new default to my credit records.I have phoned, and have been told it will be sorted out. Surely the admin costs of resolving these debts is more than any debts they can recover?0

I've just had a letter from Moorcroft Debt Recovery apparently I owe Arrow global Accounts Management over £100. So it looks like I owe money to a debt agency, who have instructed another debt agency to chase for it?????0

The thing is that sometimes people do pay up so maybe it is worth their while in the long run. I read on a similar forum to this I think it was, about someone who wanted a particular debt off his bankruptcy list so paid it. Didn't realise it was preferential and not allowed.
Most of the begging letters have stopped now for me, 8 months in, apart from one for £19 which comes with boring regularity. It was included in the bankruptcy and I have sent them endless copies of the order, given up now and just ignore. If I didn't know better, I might've been tempted to pay the £19 just to put a stop to the letters.
Since becoming bankrupt, I have also had letters from others who have offered me really good deals to repay only a fraction of the debt owed, even Natwest, it makes me wonder if it was worth going bankrupt as I have had quite a few windfalls since then and could have repaid most if not all by now if I'd taken up these offers! If I'd only known that would happen.0 -

You would be better staring a new thread on the Debt Free Wannabe board for that.
I can move that post to a new thread, but you may like to start your own as the circumstances probably need explaining more for people to help.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Arrow global made me bankrupt for 2 MBNA CC totalling £1,600.
I had other debts but all was going well until I was injured on duty and then medically discharged. I was eventually diagnosed with PTSD as well and this obviously didn't help with my ability to sort my finances out.
Arrow global filed for my bankruptcy and I had hidden the mail as usual at the time of my problems etc.
OR was very good and all sorted very quickly no payment plans or any other orders. 2 weeks before the end of the 3yr deadline the IP informed me that the house was going to be sold. The {In my opinion} outrageously criminal charges made by the IP and his woeful staff who I had to deal with and even do their job. The home secretaries fees & Solicitors fees meant that NOBODY received any money, so ARROW GLOBAL ruined it all for everyone, {except me in the long run}
I had calls from them on two occasions after the BR being filed, one was them asking for the debt they had filed against and again informing me that they had no idea I had gone BR as nobody had informed them? Excuse me! Then 3 days later (same man again I swear) rang to say that I owed money to a lloyds bank OD for £500. I had had enough of them I am afraid and red mist came down. I just said that their company were a complete joke and get the admin sorted, threatened me with more legal action including bankruptcy, I said " Okay do it, see you in court)" never heard from them again.I love green dots :T I hate red dots :mad:0 -
if all the entries are marked as satisfied or partially satisfied on your credit files (I.E. clean up your credit files) surely it would not be possible for these parasites to keep buying old debt, if its settled they know this and cannot re-register defaults or sell the debt on again?
in fact i just answered my own question, click the link below and go to the 'why should i bother section'

My letter said Arrow had taken over 'my debt', but I didn't need to do anything as they would deal directly with my Trustee in BR!
I was discharged in Dec 2014, so good luck with that one!0 -
but that's not the same as marked as settled on your credit file, until then the debt can be sold from one organisation to another, even if the OR had contacted the initial company when you went BK, a few months after discharge get your credit files and check who owns the debt and ask all those companies to mark as settled or else! it's their legal requirement. their is a template letter in a sticky at the top of this forum in credit cleanup thread0

Not sure where to go with this.
My wife has received a letter from Moorcroft debt recovery limited stating that they have been instructed by TELEFONICA O2 (UK) LIMITED to collect her overall debt.
First things first she has never been with 02!
The letter looks shady and I have read that these people are Cowboys. No contact has been made with them and nor will it be.
I will be contacting 02 tomorrow to find out if such debt exists.
Has anybody seen this before or had any dealings with this company?
