PVC DPC membrane

I think the guy doing the survey is independent so I should have a good idea. I'm just hopping its not going to be expensive to repair. My gut feeling tells me that surely it can't be that bad cos its or really visible on the inside? It's not affecting my decoration etc, just presenting the walls.
I've seen some pretty horrific pictures of damp and ours is nothing like that! Before you put the meter on the wall, you'd have never own it was there.
If it does need a DPC injected, is it always necessary to take the plaster off and redo it?0 -
ive spoken to the surveyor and hes said that if it needs a DPC, it can all be done externally and there is not always need to replaster.
ive been prodding the plaster all over n not lost my thumb in any spongy plaster, nor can i see any mould or patches.
hes coming to do the survey tomorrow. he can do the work if necessary, but he is aware that the builders will get a few quotes before deciding who does the work so i guess he cant be too expensive as hell be wanting the business.0
