Received a 'ggodwill geture' from RBS/Natwest. Accept or not?

They've made me an offer of £1073.28, based on the amount of PPI paid, plus interest (the loan was for £5000, a good few years ago).
The bank says they are unable to confirm the details I gave them, so they are making this offer as a gesture of goodwill.
Would you accept it? Is there any way I can get some more cash out of them?
Cheers.

I would take it!
You don't say how much you were actually claiming, so we have no way of knowing how the offer relates to what you have claimed, but £1k is £1k, as far as I am concerned!I am employed as a manager in a financial services institution. My views are entirely my own.0 -
If the loan was £5000 then the goodwill offer they have made seems right to me, if you have any proof that you paid this PPI and it is more than the gesture, send the proof in and ask them to reconsider.
The whole PPI may not have been paid to this loan anyway, maybe settled early?.
What details could they not confirm?.0
