Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
Any help here would be appreciated...
On the 15 April this year we had our gas meter changed because it was faulty , was making a loud clicking noise for months but we never bothered about it till the morning of the 15 april when there was no hot water to shower with . Guy came out , checked boiler and said meter was at fault so gas board came out and fitted a new meter. On the 9th April i had a bill sent out with an estimated reading of 12686 but on checking the old meter reading from 15th April it was 12592....so obviously over estimated. Anyway i worked out with the old meter we used an average of 6.5 units per day(based on 12592 reading) but after checking my new meter we have used an average of 5.5 units per day over the last 37 days. We have had the central heating on all day at the lowest setting all through the winter and still have so our usage hasnt changed!
I know its not a great amount but could our old meter have been giving a wrong reading?

You said the meter was faulty so you can't go on what the meter reading was when it was removed.

I can't believe you are using the same amount of gas today with temperatures touching 20 degrees, compared to the amount of gas you used a few months back when you were lucky if temperatures ever rose above freezing point.

Sounds like you have got off lightly ;)

Thats a low estimate, at least they are not using national or aq average
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

are you sure the old meter wasn't in cubic feet ? as your new meter will be in cubic meters, which is maybe why it looks like your figures have changed
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.
