Mumbles Mile. 27 drinking establishments along the seafront. And hordes of students attempting a pint in each. I never managed it when I was a student!0

hee hee! that sounds pretty cool actaually! thanks sam!0

I forgot, a dodgy club at the end. I think it's called Neptunes. Possibly the worst club. Ever. Even after 27 pints you know its bad. That's why it's a compulsory attraction!0

Learn to surf at LLangennith. Also try Three Cliffs Bay you have to walk for a while but well worth it. Have a look at this site http://www.enjoygower.com/
Don't know when you are there but the Red Arrows have a display in Swansea on Sept 16th0 -
Great for scenery, nature, fishing, birdwatching.
Avoid the main holiday periods if you dislike crowds. Rhosili Bay/Worm's Head must come close to being one of the best places for the soul on God's earth.0 -
The Gower, I remember it well. Went for a weeks holiday and it rained solidly for 5 days after which we came home. No there's nothing to do, particularly when it rains. So take plenty of indoor entertainment. I Imagine it's beautiful in good weather.Named after my cat, picture coming shortly0

Does anyone know how easy it is to get to the beaches using local transport? Are they walkable from the train station? or any buses from Swansea/Cardiff?
Or anyone know any other good beaches near Cardiff?
