Already have a joint bank acc. but partner has poor credit, damage done or split acco

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some advice please. Basically my Husband and I got a joint bank account and savings account last year after getting married. The credit check for this came back okay and we were accepted (NatWest), but later found out that there was a CCJ against my Husband.
The CCJ debt is now clear and we're waiting for it to be amended as satisfied on credit reports, but we'll be trying to get a mortgage in a couple of years (through an adverse broker) and don't know whether I should get out of our joint account, and we should have a separate account each so I'm not tarred by the association to his bad credit. I will be on the mortgage when we apply, but I have no income so I don't know if it will matter that much? And obviously now I do have that bad association, would I be able to get a separate account anyway?
Thanks very much, I hope that query is clear enough too, apologies if it isn't.
