I've looked into this in the past, because the insurance policy my Management Company uses seemed to be very expensive.

I found that there are not that many suppliers on the internet, it's always "enter your details and we'll get back to you" rather than an instant quote, and two-thirds of the time they don't get back to you. There just doesn't seem to be the competition for block insurance that exists for "normal" building insurance. But, for what it's worth, here's one supplier found via Google (just an example - I have no experience of them):

Search Google UK for something like "block building insurance flat" to find more. "Block" is the key word to get the results you seek!

I should have been more clear - this is for a policy to cover the entire building, i.e., all the flats together. As I understand it, this is how Buildings Insurance is usually done for flats - you can't really separate it out on a per-flat basis (e.g., who would insure the shared areas?).

As such, it is usually organised by the Management Company and included in the Service Charge. Individual flat-owners would not need to arrange it themselves. Make sure you aren't already covered before buying more!
