Hi,

I have done a balance transfer from a new natwest card to my Tesco master card but the amount is 300 over the amount I actually owe on the tesco card.

Will that be ok? what happens ?

The tesco card would then show in credit - either spend to that amount , so balance returns to zero.. They may send you a cheque for the credit balance.

Or ask that the transfer the balance back - though you wouldnt get the fees refunded on what Natwest had charged for the tfr in the first instance..

worst case is that tesco reverse the transfer then close your account for breaking the terms and conditions by putting the account in credit.
