Sending back my acceptance letter as put in a claim to reclaim ppi on my old Egg credit card. Depending on when cheque comes and clears it will either mean I can pay all outstanding premier man catalogue off or if not cleared by then, put it towards another bill.
Been there, done that and Ebay'd the t shirt.

    So today:

Tend to seedlings. Appear to be winning the slug war after losing about 5 of my basil seedlings :(

Use paracetamol left behind by someone who left the company :o

Have a good one all xx

    Hi All

@Ally - That is MENTAL. How the actual heck are you supposed to tailor every application to the relevant job/employment sector if you are not given that information? I cant believe it.

@Foxgloves - Oh no, hate anything like that, hurty!!!

@ Stacey - Two classes in one day? Wow thats impressive.

@Determined NewMS - Good luck back to work today. Hope all goes well.

    Me today.

    1) Had to pay a load of work bills, but surprisingly low water bill for a business. Might investigate at some point.
    2) Dinner tonight will be a bacon pasta affair. We are very low on groceries till payday, but I can string it out a little more.
    3) Dont laugh, but am attempting to get through all of the moisturiser we seem tohave accumulated at home. Including 2 bottles of babylotion (my little angel is 4.5 :) I honestly dont know why people are obsessed with giving it as a gift at xmas and birthdays. There is only so much epidermis that one can wack it on!
    4) Morrisons have got the bargain Butternut squash back on again if anyone is looking for it.£1 for a large squash is pretty good considering its normally that per KG.

Erm, think thats me. Checked my banking too. All fine (ish)

    Bye

    Bob

I always thought this was so that you couldnt pre-interview contact them directly and apply and then the agency would miss out on their fee....

I contacted another branch of this well-known nation-wide employment agency to check this really was the case and was told the same thing. Some employers choose not to disclose their identities at the applications stage.

I would need to apply, accept the interview if I was offered and then be told the company's name at the interview if I got one. If I then decide I don't want to go ahead with the interview this might go against me in any further interviews I have with this agency as I will have "wasted their time"! I simply wish to avoid applying for jobs with the company I have just left behind and want to write applications that are relevant! Whatever happened to common sense?

What a crock, honestly. Can you just go through job sites like Monster etc? Or recruitment agencies?

@ziggy - You can do it! Just think how pleased you were with the 35lbs & think how motivated you'd feel if this time next month it could be 36lbs. Slow & steady wins the race! I need to lose another 2 stone.....I'm sure a Dr would say another 3, but I still want to a bit curvy or I just won't feel like me.
@ally - You'll soon be able to write a book about your job seeking experiences. The policy of not disclosing companies runs contrary to every scrap of common sense: 1)May be a company you have already worked for & do not wish to repeat the experience 2)May be a company where you do not agree with their ethics...there are several companies I do not use & I wouldn't want to work for them either 3)You are unable to do the recommended & usually EXPECTED research into the company so as to be reasonably knowledgable for the interview so you are arriving unprepared & feeling on a back foot 4)Interviewee could waste money travelling to interview they would not have chosen to apply for if they had known more employer background.
So, I don't know who came up with that as a policy, but it's a pig's breakfast!

Well today is the end of my extended leave. I have enjoyed it a lot! But I start work at 1pm. I am a little nervous. Plan to make the most of my last few hours off. Tis quite a nice and gentle return into working life. Working for 2 1/2 days and then have a long weekend and the following week will be a short one ;)

    Wish me luck guys x

Hope you have had a good day DNMS my lovely :A
