What day to switch!?

Hi there,

I'm planning to switch from my Scot Pwr contract ending June 1 to EDF Blue. There is an exit fee should I leave SP before that date.

Question is, if I use an online switching agent - do I have to wait until June 1? Or can I do it now and just set the date of cancellation?

Wouldn't make sense to pay exit fees for only a few days. But then again, the changeover takes so many weeks!

Thanks!!

When Switching, it's the date the Switch actually takes place that counts so far Exit Fee's are concerned, and it takes 4 - 6 weeks for a Switch request to be completed

With your present tariff ending on June 1st, ( Check this), it's OK for you to start the Switch today
