WCT & Childcare is it worth it?

Need some advise please?

My partner is planning to go back to work and place our baby in a nursery at work. This is a registered one: 2 mornings £27 p/w half day coming to £108 pm.

She will be earning around £1700 p/m basic with out any additional hours (£141 p/m) less Child Care (108) leaving £33.00 p/m for her efforts.

My main question is would I be able to claim Child Care costs to cover the nursery fees? or would my WTC be knocked down by more than the amount claimed because they will take into account both incomes £25k with 3 kids (2 school + 1 Nursery). Its all a bit confusing and doing my head in.

Would I be worse off claiming the Child care costs or carry on has is and pay out off pocket? Making it less economical for her to go back to work and she would continue to go loopy at home and in turn do me in too, Please help..

Any advise welcome and appreciated

Cheers

You won't get wtc with a combined incone of £25k. So she would probably be better of at home and get extra in the ctc.

Did you mean £1700 per year and £141 per month that your wife will earn? So will she be working 16 hours or more per week?

If she wont be working 16 hours a week you wont get any help with child care.

Actually, you could still get help with childcare with a joint income of £25k, but you both have to work a minimum of 16 hrs/wk. And you may not get as much as you hope for.
