Equifax -Linked addresses

My old address is linked to my current address on my Equifax report yet I can't find an option to do a credit search on my old address to see what's still recorded against it, is it possible to do a search on my old address or do I have to create a new Equifax account and pretend I still live there in order to do one?
I'll just point out that I moved in 2004 so I suppose in theory there should be no information about me still listed at that address but I got into a huge financial mess at that house and it still worries me that it's linked and I can't help wondering what people doing a search on it can see.

Hi buddy,
Its not logged against your old address it is against you personally so wherever you go your credit history goes with you.0 -
Don't even think about it!shireknight wrote: »...do I have to create a new Equifax account and pretend I still live there in order to do one?
As above, people have credit histories...not properties.I can't help wondering what people doing a search on it can see.0 -

Oh so people doing a credit check really can only see the same stuff I can see? Thanks I never realised that, that makes me feel so much better :beer:0 -
They will see even less than you can see.shireknight wrote: »Oh so people doing a credit check really can only see the same stuff I can see?
For example, they can't see 'who' you have/have had accounts with as the lender's name isn't shown on the copy they get to see.0 -

Oh, you know where you hover over your credit card payment history and it tells you your balance and how much you paid each month -can they see that?0 -
Yes, if they also send the same information about their customers, ie they only get out what they put in (the so-called 'principles of reciprocity').shireknight wrote: »Oh, you know where you hover over your credit card payment history and it tells you your balance and how much you paid each month -can they see that?0 -

Oh that's a pity, oh well not to worry, thanks again.:)0 -
Any accounts linked to your old address will show up. Mine has a few settled accounts at my previous address.
As said, when you change your address with a company, they report that to the CRA thus creating a linked address.:beer:0
