It's hard when the littlies go away isn't it. My daughter went on a trip back in November for a week and I sobbed the whole time she was away. She cried her eyes out waiting for the bus outside of school and gave me this pathetic 'will I ever see you again' tearful wave from the bus. It took me a good hour before I was fit to drive out of the school gates. Ooh I missed her.

SF sometimes it feels like all we do is give give give, and it does get tiring. I have this silly little thing where I make myself do one kind thing every day, you know, help an old lady accross a road, carry someones shopping onto a bus. I think if everyone did a kindness a day the world would be a nicer place. I try to smile at people when I'm out too. But some days, when people are shoving me in shops, treading on my toes and shutting doors in my face, scowling back at my smiles I think... oh sod the lot of you, it really gets me down. So, I think, everytime you do something for someone else, do something nice for yourself too. But you should take pride in the fact that you are a giver, even though it gets rough at times. I do think you'll get your reward one day, lets hope it's in the shape of 2 weeks drinking beer in mexico eh! x

    :grouphug: From me too

Can you dump all the kids on someone and spend the day watching your fav dvds with a face mask on or sun bathing in the garden with a good book?

I always watch BBCs Pride and Prejudice when I need cheering up, the sight of Mr Darcy coming out of the lake *drool hits the desk* is enough to cheer me up any day :o

    Hugs to you!!!

I have the complete opposite to you my eldest daughter won't go away on school camps for two years I have wanted her to go because I thought she would really enjoy it. But she just burst into tears saying she would miss us all too much! When I went in hospital one night to have a baby she spent all night awake apparently!

Its hard to learn to be selfish but give it a go you have nothing too loose!
